7Bone is a popular restaurant chain with several locations throughout the UK. There are currently 9 different 7bone locations which are situated at Bournemouth, Camberley, Eastbourne, Hove, Newbury, Portsmouth, Reading, Southampton and last but not least Northampton. As it was a chilly autumn day I thought a Burger would definitely brighten up the day. The decision was made and we decided to visit 7Bone for the first time!

As we entered we were greeted promptly and shown to our seats. The interior along with the exterior was inviting and spacious. When seated we were asked if we had ever eaten at the venue before, as we both said no the menu was described to us and the waitress helped put us at ease. She explained that 7Bone was one of a selection of Burger restaurants in the United Kingdom that could sell their burgers “pink.” The menu was quite easy to navigate despite the interesting names of the burgers! You could make any burger you buy into a regular meal deal or a dirty meal deal depending on whether you picked a regular side or a more fancy side known as the dirty sides.
For the drinks I had a choice between a Soft Drink or a Shake. I had to go for the Milkshake :P. There were four varieties of Milkshakes to choose from; Maltoreo, Banoffee, Salted Caramel and Peanut Butter & Jelly. I decided to go for the Peanut Butter & Jelly which was a tasty choice, it was a nice thick Shake however sometimes was a bit difficult to drink through the straw provided!
The choice of starters consisted of Tater Tots, Chicken Fried Bacon Rashers, Chicken Fried Olives and various versions of Chicken Tenders, which come with different sauces and garnishes. Chicken Fried Olives is something I had never heard of before and sounded an interesting concept so that was the choice for me. The olives tasted good, but a little underwhelming as the flavours didn’t differentiate too much from a normal olive. The olives were coated in a batter which suited the olives well.
For mains there was a choice of Beef Burgers, Chicken Burgers, Vegetarian Burgers & Hot Dogs. I decided to go for their special which was called the Wal-Mart Lucky Meat Dip. This was a Beef Patty with American Cheese, Smoked Brisket in Cola BBQ, American Mustard, Grilled Weiner, Tobacco Onions and Cola BBQ. I opted for the Dirty Meal Deal and chose the Truffle Mac ‘n’ Cheese, however other sides I could have chosen for a Dirty Meal Deal included various types of Fries with different sauces and seasonings, Chicken Fried Halloumi Fries anda multitude of different sauced Chicken Wings. For a regular meal deal ( which is £1.50 cheaper) I could have chosen Seasoned Fires, Frickles, Onion Straws and Tillman’s Dirty Slaw. My partner opted for the Prince Charles is Overrated Beef Burger which came with a Beef Patty, Bacon , Cheese, Shredded Iceberg, Pickles and a Dirty Spread accompanied by Halloumi Fries as the Dirty Side. All Burgers came with the choice of having them cooked Pink or Well Done, we both chose the Pink option. The Burger was delicious and the bun was so soft and fluffy. The bun complimented the food beautifully, my burger was extremely meaty so was difficult for me to finish but I just about managed. The meal was very enjoyable, my partner also thoroughly enjoyed her burger too.
Overall the experience was a good one. The food was tasty and the service was attentive and friendly. The bun was definitely one of the stand out points as it was so soft :D. The aesthetic was quirky with intriguing names for all their burgers. I will definitely be visiting 7Bone again whenever I need a Burger fix!
